Melanoma Institute Australia has provided services and support in Perth, Western Australia since it merged with melanomaWA in January 2020.

melanomaWA was established with the mission to reduce the impact of melanoma in the WA community. It worked to support people living with melanoma and their carers, families and friends, and to raise awareness about melanoma prevention in WA. Western Australia is second only to QLD in terms of melanoma incidence across Australia.

The merger between melanomaWA and Melanoma Institute Australia in 2020 benefited melanoma patients and their families across WA by strengthening and expanding services, support, education and research. The merger provided local, regional, and remote melanoma patients with greater access to medical specialists through Melanoma Institute Australia’s network.
